ABOUT THIS RECIPE

This is a go-to breakfast that’s great for busy mornings. It’s delicious, gives your body lasting energy, and is adjustable to your preferences.

Ingredients

1/2 cup Rolled Oats (sub. GF oats for gluten free option)

1 tbs Chia Seeds

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/8 tsp Salt (Himalayan is the best)

1 tbs Maple Syrup

3/4 cup Oat Mylk (or enough to cover)

Optional Add-ins:

1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

1/4 to 1/2 tsp Mushroom Powder (eg. functional mushrooms by Harmonic Arts)

1 tbs Nut Butter

1/3 cup Fruit, fresh or unthawed

Preparation

  1. Mix dry ingredients into a small, sealable container (I have a few plastic hummus-type ones kicking around, so I tailored this recipe to fit perfectly into these).

  2. Stir in wet ingredients well (except the optional fruit) and seal container

  3. refrigerate overnight (at least 8 hrs)

  4. To serve, add optional but butter and fruit (whole or blended into compote-style). You can dish this into a bigger bowl or eat right out of the container on-the-go!

TIP: Pair this with a protein shake or smoothie to get in more protein💪
