6:00pm Every Monday, we meet at trail heads around Kelowna BC for a fun group run!

​

What to Expect:   We'll be out for ~1 hour plus a short warm-up, running 5-9km depending on terrain. See below for route plans and details.

​

What to Bring:    dress for the weather,  trail shoes strongly recommended, snacks & water as needed (+ post-run snack), headtorch for the winter months.

THE SCHEDULE

Each week will be a little different, changing up location and focus.

Note:  Distances & Strava Maps are there to give a general idea of the run plan. We will adapt to the ability and energy-level of our group on the day, but come preparing to do the route in ~1 hour.

Apr 7th

TOWER RANCH PARK

Meet Place:  

     5:30pm - CARPOOL from the Apple Bowl Stadium parking lot off of Burch rd, by the track.

      6:00pm - Summer Cres. Trail Head
 

Route: 6km, 200m gain. Rolling meadow hills. Strava

- Free Parking along Tower Ranch Dr.

Apr 14th

ANGEL SPRINGS

Meet Place:  

     5:30pm - CARPOOL from the Apple Bowl Stadium parking lot off of Burch rd, by the track.

                       **Please reach out by email or on Heylo to confirm a carpool ride.

      6:00pm - Angel Springs Trailhead.    

**the road is unpaved for the last ~700m. It's mostly smooth but there are a few small bumps and a slight hill at the end.

​

Route:   an uphill start, leading to flowy, forested single track.

Two Options: 

1) 6km, 250m gain:  turns around just before the steep down section to KLO Creek. We can do this with as an out and back or loop it with one extra uphill push.  Strava (out & back)Strava (loop trail).

2) 9km, 450m gain:  goes all the way down to KLO Creek, a punchy descent and re-ascent (may of a little over an hour). Strava.

Apr 21st

SPION KOP - Summit Trail

Meet Place:  

     5:30pm - CARPOOL from the Apple Bowl Stadium parking lot off of Burch rd, by the track.

​                       **Please reach out by email or on Heylo to confirm a carpool ride.

      6:00pm - Spion Kop Trail head, at the end of Old Mission Rd.
 

Route: 8km, 400m gain. Winding trail up the hillside through forested trails.  Strava

Apr 28th

GLENMORE TRAILS + Flip Flops & Hops Social

Meet Place:  (5:30pm)  Flips Flips & Hops Eatery, 1974 Kane Rd #300, Kelowna, BC V1V 2E5. 

​

Route: ~7km, 250m gain. A few road blocks will take us to Ballou Park, where we'll head up into Glenmore Trails for an easy-effort run through rolling hills. We'll head back to the restaurant for refreshments ~7pm. Strava Route
