TRAINING PLANS

~ Training Plans HAVE BEEN redesigned! ~

These training plans are designed to guide athletes through completing a 25 km or 50 km trail run with significant elevation gain over six training blocks (24 weeks + 1 bonus), at any paceThe blocks are structured as five building peaks leading to your goal event in Block 6, followed by a recovery period.

With light guidance from
me (Laura), these plans are designed to be adaptable to your lifestyle and goals. They provide the information, training tips, and metrics needed to make informed and intuitive decisions—helping you stay consistent and return to the trails stronger, year after year.

Monthly Zoom meetings (April-October 2026) are offered to ask questions, share feedback, and receive personalized support in shaping your training. Sessions are recorded for those unable to attend live.

There is also a dedicated
Heylo chat for participants, supporting a team environment as we work towards our individual goals together.

This is the first iteration of a general training plan of my design, and it lays the foundation for the future programs I aim to build through Sustain Athletics. If you're ready to level up your training with more structure and intuition, this is for you! Your participation and feedback are greatly appreciated—they directly shape how these programs evolve and improve.

As Sustain Athletics, we respectfully acknowledge that we are guests on lands that have long been stewarded by Indigenous Peoples, many of which remain unceded. Wherever we are, we encourage our athletes to learn and listen from the native cultures of their area.

For Sustain Run Club, we enjoy the beautiful trails of the Syilx Okanagan NationOther Sustain Athletics activities are largely based on the lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Thanks, we'll get back you soon!
