My Training blog

This blog is of my personal experiences, past and present, that have shaped me into the person and athlete I am today. Since I was young, I've kept journals to express and remember myself. Now that I'm older, I want to re-explore and share some of these memories.

NEW ZEALAND 2014-15

May 16, 2014

And so my journey begins, a new chapter in my life. I know a great change is about to happen but it still hasn't quite hit me yet. May that's a little from the cold that's still hindering me, but I'm suprisingly chill about it all so far. On the way to the airport, I chatted away with my parents, yet I can't say that that I had an overwhelming sense of hear or nerves or even excitement. I was very excited, but it just wasn't bursting from the seams like I'd expected it to do.

As Sustain Athletics, we respectfully acknowledge that we are guests on lands that have long been stewarded by Indigenous Peoples, many of which remain unceded. Wherever we are, we encourage our athletes to learn and listen from the native cultures of their area.

For Sustain Run Club, we enjoy the beautiful trails of the Syilx Okanagan NationOther Sustain Athletics activities are largely based on the lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and sÉ™lÌ“ilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Thanks, we'll get back you soon!
