Jan 15     Workshop 01:  Building Your Season  – Slideshow PDF

Join us as we launch a new series of Sustain Athletics workshops! We'll start the year off with what goes into building a training plan – different platforms, typical structures, key components – and how to set intentions and SMART goals. These are the essential elements of  having successful and fun training seasons, year after year.

Feb 12    Workshop 02:  Running / Hiking Form & Shoes – Slideshow PDF

Here, we tackle two topics that are foundational for your running and hiking: form and footwear. We’ll explore the 'stacked' athletic stance, bust common myths, and bring a little more awareness into our movements and choices.

 

Mar 12    Workshop 03:  Nutrition I – Slideshow PDF

Strap in! We're diving into the basics of nutrition – there will be some science, some math, but what I want to instill most is guidance for your intuition around food. This can be hard in everyday life, let alone as an athlete, but there are some simple lessons and tricks that we can practice to improve both our nutritional intake and energy output

Your votes are in and the winning topics is..🥁... Pacing & Cadence!  In this workshop, we'll discuss strategies for pacing through long runs and events, and how cadence and proper running form support this. We'll also go over key Heart Rate Zones to help you understand the benefits of different pacing efforts.
